DESCRIPTION

Beachy Bolthole is our much-loved dog friendly static caravan, positioned in a quiet spot, less than a 5-minute walk from the beach, colourful quirky beach huts and sand dunes. The south-facing decking is a great place to sit out and enjoy the gas BBQ with a glass of wine, after spending the day on one of the beautiful beaches of North Norfolk or walking in this area of outstanding natural beauty. Our caravan is bright and airy in the warmer months, but also a wonderful cosy retreat in the colder months, with central heating and a feature electric fire. 

The caravan sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms, and although there is a sofa bed, which means it can sleep up to 8, we prefer to keep to a maximum of 6 guests as we think the best way to achieve a relaxing holiday is to have the space to enjoy each other's company. It has soft comfortable sofas for relaxing after long beach walks or exploring the area, and a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. We provide bed linen, bath towels, hand towels and tea towels so that you don't need to. You will just need to bring your own beach towels.

The beautiful sandy beach of Wells and Holkham is only a 5-minute walk, and the bustling centre of Wells-next-the-Sea is only a 15-minute walk away.  The town’s Staithe Street is home to several traditional and contemporary shops, places to eat, galleries, and the Maltings; here you will find interest in the history of Wells, exhibitions, a bar and café. The venue also shows films throughout the year to delight the locals and visitors alike.

The quay is a wonderful place to watch people and boats, come and go. Still a working fishing port, you can take a trip out to sea to try your luck at catching some supper. If you prefer to stay closer to the shore, you can enjoy a boat trip round the harbour or have fun catching crabs from the quay. Wells Sailing Club provides entertainment during the summer, racing beautiful old wooden sailing boats out on the water at weekends during the high tide.  If you feel peckish whilst taking in the local action, you can tuck into fish and chips on the quay wall and enjoy the wonderful views out to sea but keep an eye on the sea gulls!

Wells-next-the-Sea is set in North Norfolk’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is part of the largest coastal nature reserve in England and Wales.  As such it is a perfect location for bird watchers where the wide expanse of marshes provides the perfect habitat for wading birds and winter geese.

ACCOMMODATION

Ground Floor:
Living/Dining area a warm and cosy room with carpeted floor, two comfortable large sofas, Smart TV, side tables, lamps and electric fire. Central heating. Dining area has dining table and seating for up to six guests.

Kitchen area leading from the living area with a gas cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and Nespresso coffee machine. Plenty of worktop space and kitchen cupboards, well stocked with kitchen equipment. Lino flooring.

Hall area carpeted and Shower Room leading from the kitchen and with access to the remaining rooms.

WC with toilet and sink.

Shower room with toilet, sink and walk-in shower.

Bedroom 1 with double bed, side tables, built in wardrobes and dressing table with mirror over.

Bedroom 2 with double bed, side tables, mirror and built in wardrobe.

Bedroom 3 with twin beds (2ft wide), shared bedside table, built in wardrobe.

Decking:
There is a large decking area with garden furniture for both alfresco dining and lounging.

Parking:

There is parking for two cars at the caravan.

Heating:

Bottled gas heating and electric fire. All included.

Arrival day is Saturday. Short breaks are also available in the quieter months.

• Non-smoking property anywhere on the grounds.
• Beachy Bolthole accepts two well behaved dogs.

Situated right at the heart of the North Norfolk coast, Pinewoods Holiday Park has been welcoming holidaymakers and families for over 60 years.

Pinewoods strives for high standards across every area of the park. This picturesque site lies behind pine-topped sand-dunes at the edge of Wells beach, just a short walk from the bustling historic port of Wells-next-the-Sea.

Shop
The on-site shop is well-stocked with provisions, groceries, cold-drinks and beers, wines and spirits. Opening times vary according to season and are displayed by the entrance door.

Children’s playground
Somewhere safe to let off steam and have a play. This play area is suitable for children under 16 years of age.

Lake
Once open to the sea, Abraham’s Bosom is now a unique enclosed lagoon right in Pinewoods park.

Cycling and bike hire
Pinewoods is a great base for cycling. As well as miles of quiet country lanes (and not many hills) inland, Pinewoods sits right on the Wells and Holkham Circuit of National Cycle Network route 1. There’s also lots of off-road tracks for traffic free cycling. Bikes can be hired locally by the day or week if you can’t bring your own.

Beach Road café and shop
For ice creams, drinks and beach goods, visit the café and shop in the main beach car park.
