Adapted, spacious, fully equipped two bedroomed caravan, suitable for wheelchair users and families and up to two dogs. Full length ramp to both doors.. Sliding doors to all rooms. Both bedrooms comprise two single beds. The larger room is very spacious, allowing plenty of room for wheelchair's.  Living room area has free standing furniture and a 'pull out' double sofa bed. The toilet and shower room has been fully adapted to include grab rails, shower seat,  the shower base is level to the floor which allows access to the shower with a wheelchair if needed, also making it easily accessible to those with limited mobility. The shower is also ideal for families, especially if there are very small children who require supervision. (Previous guests have said they 'Love' the large shower size).

Other features include lowered kitchen surfaces, spacious living area with easy access throughout the caravan. The caravan is double glazed with central heating (radiators in every room). Private parking space at the end of the ramp. An easily accessible Patio area.

Also included: iron, ironing board, hairdryer, hoover, small patio table and chairs, toaster, microwave, kettle, flat screen TV and DVD combi with free view. ( We have added an extra T.V and DVD combi, to one of the bedrooms). The caravan also has a fire extinguisher,  Fire blanket, Smoke alarms and 2 Carbon monoxide detectors. All electrical equipment - PAT tested, Gas certificate and owners insurance. Electrical test is mandatory every 3 years.

All bed linen is provided with free bed making service for your arrival., however, you will need to take your own towels and travel cot. Dogs are welcome, (a maximum of two medium sized dogs) Sorry, the maximum of 2 dogs is strict.

1. We have fitted a new carpet in the living area.

2. We have taken out the original seating and replaced this with free standing furniture and a sofa bed, which makes it much more comfortable for those wishing to use the living area for sleeping.

3. We have also taken out the fridge and replaced this with a 'fridge sized' fridge freezer, making it easier to store things like ice-cream Etc.

 All Gas, Electricity usage and Bed Linen is included in our prices.

There is no smoking permitted inside the caravan, however if you wish to smoke outside, a bin can be provided for your use.

Terms and Conditions

Due to changes in park rules, we have had to amend our terms and conditions to incorporate these changes. We hope you will still enjoy your stay.

 

Bookings

 A deposit of £50 for each week booked (non- refundable) will be payable within ten days of booking.

The balance of the holiday is to be paid in full 28 days prior to arrival.

We also need to know the ages and the sex of each child who will be staying in the caravan and whether they are siblings. (This is necessary as sleeping arrangements need to meet the laws on child protection policies).

BOND

Due to the extent of damage caused by a small number of guests in previous years, we are now asking all guests for a refundable bond of £50 for each week requested, to be paid at the time of booking. The caravan will be checked prior to check in and on check out, all damages and or breakages will be recorded and if any damage is caused to the caravan a bill WILL be raised against the guest responsible for the damage. Guests will be invoiced for all damages and this will be taken from the bond and any remaining monies will be refunded and a receipt given to that guest. Should the cost of damage amount to more than the £50 bond, an invoice for the total amount will be raised against the guest/s responsible and payment will become due immediately.

SMOKING

We have a NO SMOKING policy in our caravan and for this reason, there is an allocated area outside for this purpose. If it is clear (smell, tobacco, cigarette butts, etc.) that any guest has been smoking within the caravan will be charged a cleaning fee of £40 which will be deducted from the bond and a receipt will be given once specialist cleaning has been completed.

CALL OUTS

 Guests may ONLY call out the park staff, for emergencies for; SMELL OF GAS, NO GAS, ELECTRICAL FAULTS, ISSUES WITH WATER, E.G. LEAKS, NO WATER AND BLOCKED DRAIN OR BLOCKED TOILET.  

Guests are requested to contact the owners if they have had to call park staff out for any of the above this is so that we can have the problem checked by a properly qualified and registered person in the interest of public safety.

 All other queries e.g. television not working, no heating etc. should, in the first instance, be directed to the owner/s who are contactable on the number/s on your paperwork and in the information folder in the caravan, at all times.

 If guests call park staff out for T.V not working, no heating, etc. the call out charge of £10 per call out, will be passed on to the guest and deducted from the £50 refundable bond. A receipt will be given and an explanation given for the deduction.  

 

IN THE EVENT OF FIRE OR MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

Dial 999 and give details of which service you require, give your exact location on the park and caravan number, yours is: Oakwood G7. (Emergency procedures can be found in the black folder in the caravan).

REFUNDS

No refund of deposits will be given under any circumstances.

Refunds of any other monies paid (Other than the non- refundable deposit) prior to your stay, will only be considered in the event of an emergency, where you are unable to keep your holiday dates.

If the cancellation is LESS than 7 days prior to your expected arrival, no refunds will be made. This is because of the possibility of the owner not being able to re let the caravan at such short notice.

Any refunds made for any reasons less than the 7 days, e.g. life threatening serious illness and or death, will be at the discretion of the owners.

BOOKINGS

Weekly bookings are from Saturday to Saturday, or may be negotiated in some circumstances.

OTHER 

We DO NOT take bookings for under 18 year olds under any circumstances unless an adult aged 25 or over will be residing in the caravan as well.

We DO NOT permit the use of chip pans or deep fat frying in the caravan

Check in - Strictly 3pm onwards.

Check out - Strictly, 10 am (Thank you). This is to give plenty of time for the cleaning and any maintenance work to be carried out prior to the arrival of the new guests.

Late departure will incur extra charges.

Arrangements will be made for Key Collecting and details of how to get to the park, will be enclosed with your receipt for payment of the balance for your stay.

 

LOST KEYS

In the event of guests losing the keys to the caravan, a charge of £15 per key, for replacements will be made. This is payable before your departure. A receipt will be given.

 

PARK PASSES.

Park Passes are not included in the price, but can be purchased at reception (On production of your paperwork) on the day of arrival.

 

NON-FAMILY GROUPS -

The conditions of Haven Holiday Parks state that same sex groups are not permitted, however same sex family members may be permitted, also people with same sex carers. Check when booking if unsure. Thank you.

We do not have lots of rules and regulations but would advise ALL our guests to familiarise themselves with the information booklets in the caravan to ensure a safe, happy and fun packed holiday. The only thing we would ask you to do is to please give us your constructive feedback on your stay and whether we could make anything better.

 

 

OTHER

Due to the needs of many of our guests we endeavour to make sure your stay is as problem free as possible, however, we have taken some advice re the use of Oxygen.

Guests requiring Oxygen are asked to ensure this is booked well in advance and that the company delivering the Oxygen, deliver to the caravan and NOT reception. We are happy to be present for delivery if guests feel that they may not arrive on time, (please arrange this on booking).

The equipment should be collected (if possible) 24 hours prior to departure. If this is not possible it should have been pre- arranged with the company that the equipment needs to be out of the caravan by 10am on the morning of departure.

In the interest of Health and Safety and Fire Regulations

The gas cooker cannot be used and NO smoking in any area in or around the caravan whilst there is Oxygen in use in the Caravan.

If in any doubt, please discuss prior to booking.

Park Rules and Health and Safety (these must be adhered to and a copy of the full rules can be seen at the main reception area on the park) We thank you in advance for your co-operation.

  1. The owner must have a valid insurance certificate in line with the terms and conditions of their Licence Agreement.
  2. The owner is responsible for the Health and Safety of all guests using their holiday home regardless of whether this is the owner, family or friends or guests.
  3. The owner must ensure the holiday home is equipped with fire extinguisher, smoke alarm and two fully functional Carbon Monoxide detectors. A safety test certificate, gas and electricity test certificates.
  4. A valid electrical certificate is required every 3 years and is issued by an: NIC/EIC, ECA OR NAPIT.
  5. All electrical appliances must have a Portable Appliance Test (PAT) annually.
  6. A gas safety test must be carried out annually.
  7. All copies of the safety tests and certificates are held on file by the park.
  8. All furniture, fixtures and fittings must comply with the fire safety regulations 1988.
  9. Owners are required by the park to keep the area around and under the caravan free from anything that may cause a hazard or look unsightly.
  10. The use of inflatables e.g. bouncy castles etc. are not permitted due to serious concerns about their safety in coastal areas.
  11. The park management request that all noise is kept to a minimum and persons believed to be causing a disturbance to other guests may be asked to leave by the park management team.
  12. Tents/trailers are not permitted in the spaces between the caravans and should be in the designated area only.
  13. PETS.

When the owner, family, friends or paying guests are not in the caravan, all dogs must be kept on a lead and a responsible adult is looking after it. When walking your pet, please clean up after it.

Dogs listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, MAY NOT be brought to the park

 

Consideration for others.

Owners are responsible for the behaviour of their guests and should those guests become, unruly, antisocial, use threatening behaviour, cause a nuisance to other guests on the park the park management will ask them to leave the park.

 

(As owners we do not have many rules of our own, but feel it is our duty to inform our guests of the new rules of Haven and are confident you will appreciate the reason/s why these rules have been put in place).
