Lodge 716 Nelsons Meadow
Lodge 716 Nelsons Meadow . A privately owned Lodge equipped for maximum comfort , not your usual basic holiday let . Arrive to this Lodge which is on an exclusive part of the Whiteacres site , only accessible via a swipe card .
When you arrive you will be welcomed with fresh flowers , chocolates for the kids , a fresh fruit bowl . The kettle will be boiled and tea and 3 types of coffee (Nescafé , Filter coffee and Dolce Gusto Americano coffee) . To get that Cornish feeling , sit out on the front deck overlooking the meadow, oak tree and lake and enjoy a scone , butter , strawberry jam and clotted cream . But it only starts there ! A hot roast chicken , new potatoes and salad , if a coffee isn’t for you , open the fridge , cool lager , chilled wine , a mixture of soft drinks .
After a long drive the last thing you want is a visit to the expensive site shop , or a supermarket shop , you will have 2 loaves of bread , chocolate biscuits , Pate , ham , cheese , salad . For breakfast yoghurts , orange juice , eggs , bread and jam . In the cupboards there is a stock for guests to use , cereals , baked beans , sweetcorn , pasta , rice , tomatoes, tuna , flour , oils , pasta sauces ,herbs , sauces , salt , pepper in fact plenty to knock up a meal . This is ALL INCLUDED in the price .
The beds will all be made up, hand and bath towels provided . Other things included are , toilet roll , kitchen roll , washing up liquid , dishwasher tablets , washing machine pods and conditioner. Under the sink you will find every cleaning agent needed .
Outside there is a large lockable storage box for fishing tackle or beach gear . There is a hosepipe and a bucket/ sponge/ car shampoo / Henry Hoover for your car , ideal to clean the sand out after a beach-day ! The side terrace has a lockable gate , so children can play safely . There is a wide variety of toys , beach balls , golf balls and putters , a beach tent , badminton etc . Fishing tackle can be provided . Our Lodge used to be a showroom lodge and has an extra large side terrace that runs the full length of the lodge . Apart from the storage locker , there is a seating area , plus a a 4 seater dining area ( ideal to sit and sort out your fishing tackle ) there is an outside rotary line . Plant pots are filled with fresh herbs for guests to use .
The front terrace is also larger than normal with double patio doors that open onto it .It has a large 8 seater dining table , and plenty of raffia seating for everyone . It overlooks the meadow and lake . The car parking is private for 2 cars .
The lodge has 3 bedrooms two king size beds and one twin . The master bedroom has an en-suite with walk in shower Smart Tv , the other two share a family bathroom with bath . Bedroom 2 has a smart tv , bedroom 3 has a tv .
Iron , ironing board and hairdryer provided . We offer Sky Tv , 65” smart tv , dvd player , sound system with usb ports and karaoke. A dual oven Ninja air fryer , dishwasher , Separate washing machine AAA rated , AAA tumble dryer , dolce gusto coffee machine gas hob , electric oven , kettle , microwave , toaster .
Plenty of extras , games , beach games , dvd’s, books , CDs , board games , art stuff so you can have a go at painting ,private wi-fi , Alexa Studio .
Guests can book a watercolour painting session with Jane . Jane is a member of the Cornwall Watercolour Society and sells many of her paintings , both online and in Expositions .
This is a privately owned Lodge on the Parkdean Whiteacres site , around 5 mile from Newquay , TR8 4 LW . It is important to note that this is on a quiet exclusive part of the site . It is also important to know this is a Lodge , very different from a caravan , this reflects in the price . On-site there is a clubhouse with bars and restaurant, a small supermarket , fish and chip shop . Play areas , a kids club . A large fully equipped tackle shop and 11 well stocked fishing lakes . Varying permits can be purchased . There is a heated indoor pool , gym and sauna .

We have not put ‘rules’ on guests before, we like to be as easy going as possible. But with ever stricter health and safety and insurance requirements we feel obliged to set some basics down for guests and us.
We as the landlord must make sure we abide to certain rules annually and must provide the following . All electrical appliances must be PATS tested and the installation has to be verified .The gas installation tested and appliances annually checked. Carbon monoxide alarm, smoke alarm, fire blanket and fire extinguisher must all be to British standards. We also take out a comprehensive insurance with public liability .
1 . The charging of electric cars is forbidden . There is a list of local charging points nearby in the Lodge
2. Guests are not allowed to bring their own electrical appliances, things like fans , irons , bait fridges heaters etc .
3. A deposit of 25% to be paid to secure your booking .
4. Final payment 42 days before arrival .
5. Cancellations ,deposits will be returned , once we have re-let the property. If you cancel within the 42 days before arrival we will return your payment in full if and when we have re-let the property , but we may have to discount the holiday in order to sell at the last minute , if this is the case we will reimburse pro rata.
If we have to cancel your holiday we will pay you back in full without hesitation.
6 . We recommend guests take a holiday insurance to cover cancellation . We can provide proof ,if needed, to prove your holiday with us and amounts paid for your insurance company
7 . No BBQs allowed , it is just too dangerous and against site rules .
8 Time of arrival , the fixed time is 15.00hrs . Time of departure is 10.00hrs . We get in as early as possible , we work hard to make sure everything is of the highest standard , it takes time , when we hand over the Lodge it will be clean and ready for you to enjoy your holiday .
Guests getting here early doesn’t help . We want to be finished as early as possible , but it depends on many different factors . For example previous guests leave early , 06.00hrs , leave the Lodge clean and tidy . We get in early and consequently contact you on Whattsapp in real time and get you in earlier.
On the other hand guests leave at 10.00hrs , leave the Lodge grubby , handprints on windows , thick sand everywhere , appliances dirty etc . We find a drain blocked or something broken . Fortunately these are few and far between , but sometimes we need the full 5 hours to get the Lodge ready for you . As a general rule we can get guests in between 13.00 and 14.00hrs.
9. We will be in contact with you during the week before you arrive to check on last minute details, such as special requirements, your estimated time of arrival, and any questions you may have .
10. We do not take a security bond , we act on trust and honesty . We also now operate mainly on return bookings . If you break something then replace it if possible . Any other problems let us know as soon as possible , so we can rectify the problem .
11. We ask guests before departure to strip any used beds , empty bins and leave as clean as possible
12. No smoking in the property please .
13 . No pets allowed .
14. Staggered payments , some guests like to pay off chunks of their holiday . As long as you inform us , we will confirm and make a note on the planner .
15. Energy cost rises . We ask guests to think about simple things like , turning lights off when you go out , washing on lower settings / economy settings , using the rotary line instead of the tumble dryer. Many other rental properties read the meter with a set amount allowable and anything over the set limit is payable at an extra cost . We don’t want that , we trust our guests to be aware , thank you .
