Parc Elernion, Trefor, Gwynedd
Jeff & Shirley welcome you to Parc Elernion, a little bit of heaven in North Wales.
A short walk to a lovely little sandy beach with harbour and access direct onto the Welsh Coastal Path , or an invigorating climb up the 3 peaks of Yr Eifl (the rivals) access by path direct from the site. Alternatively stroll through 52 acres of woodland surrounding the site, designated an area of special scientific interest by the woodland trust. If this sounds too strenuous kick back and relax on the beautiful site with the sound of the river as it flows by.
A diverse mixture of scrub, grassland and streams provide biodiversity for wildlife including bats and badgers and ground flora like bluebells. It's remote location mean Coed Elernion is a wonderful woodland place to visit for peace and quiet.
A short drive to historic castles and villages along the Welsh coast. A drive inland will take you to Mount Snowdon with its railway if you don’t fancy the climb, or visit Porthmadoc and catch one of the little trains.
