Laikenbuie, Nairn, Nairnshire
Therese Muskus welcomes you to a little peace of Heaven where you can experience the wildlife and farm animals on a tranquil croft, and yet be close to many attractions and exciting places to visit.
The croft of Laikenbuie is situated in a beautiful Hiddenglen four miles inland from Nairn in the north of Scotland. The holiday homes (lodge, cottage, chalet, caravan) overlook a loch surrounded by natural birch woods and bog meadows full of wild flowers. You can watch roe deer, red squirrels, or glimpse a wild cat, or fox. We have seen eighty species of bird, including osprey fishing for brown trout in the loch, buzzard, red kite, barn owl, long-tailed tit and a greater spotted woodpecker comes to the balconies. We are half an hours drive from Inverness and Loch Ness and just ten minutes from the sandy beaches and dolphins of the Moray Firth. There are 14 golf courses within an hour's drive, several castles and the Speyside distilleries whisky trail.
