Warren Bay, Watchet, Nr Minehead, Somerset

Warren Bay Holiday Village is in a truly superb position - about a mile from the bustling harbour town of Watchet, offers everything you could possibly want from a seaside holiday, plus excellent facilities and a superb position in the heart of a host of tourist attractions.

 

There is access down a wooded lane onto the park’s own private beach where children can have hours of entertainment exploring its many pools or hunting for fossils. This part of the coast is designated an 'area of special scientific interest’ because of its ancient rocks which record some 185 million years of the earth’s history. Other amenities include a children’s play area, and a launderette. As well as hot showers, toilets, disposal points and washing up areas.

Holiday makers can walk, easily and safely, along the West Somerset Railway Line to the sandy Blue Anchor Bay and Watchet Harbour.  On the way they will have close-up views of the steam engines on this very popular tourist railway line.

Well placed for access to a host of lovely beaches, Warren Bay Village is also within easy reach of large towns.

The popular seaside resort of Minehead is only about 20 minutes away by car and the city is Bristol is also within striking distance.

The principal landmark in Watchet is the town’s harbour and the surrounding quaysides and narrow streets.

In commercial use until 2000, the harbour has now been converted into a marina and the esplanade has been refurbished. Adjacent to the harbour is Watchet station, an intermediate stop on the West Somerset railway. Mostly steam-operated this heritage railway links Bishops Lydeard near Taunton with Minehead.
